OCA does not lead to a built-in, automatic increase in your perf grade. Although OCA awardees tend to be good performers, ultimately the perf grade you are given depends on the ranking panel and your P.

It depends on your substantive grade. It will be at least a B if your substantive grade is not high. If you are competing with a lot of KPs, then it will not be as high as you hope. Expect low and celebrate if you get extra. Don’t expect an A.

Work so hard, but salary so low and promotion so slow.
