GEO 3-4 varies on the performance of the officers. Have female officers promoting to geo 4 in their 5th year, at 29, to male officers Geo 4 in their 6th year despite getting Geo 3 faster. There are also officers who are stuck donkey years at Geo 3.

For Geo 4- geo 5, I admit the trend in my school is it takes longer. Promotion is not any faster , even for KP at geo 4 for a few years. Same goes for geo 5-seo1

Based on what I am seeing, this is indeed the case. However, it also depends on the P, how conservative he or she is.

Nowadays. even being appointed a KP seems harder. That applies to moving from one appointment to another, for eg, LH/SH to HOD. There are certain recommendations by higher up.

Now, you can't even be an appointed KP at GEO 3. Minimum requirement is GEO 4.

This kicked in late last year only, if I'm not mistaken. Very possible in the past.

Yes, effective from Aug 2018. Before that is possible which is why I used the word "now"

Even if that is the case, it is very unlikely to be HOD at GEO 3. If one is appointed KP at geo 3 and shows potential to progress to HOD, the promotion should not be that slow. Unless he or she moved from SH/LH to HOD within a year?

Lots of hearsay here, it is only wise to take things here with a pinch of salt.

My PE teacher more than 10 years ago held no special position. He is a god dam VP now. LOL. We will never know what have they been doing behind the scene. Or their correspondences with MOE HQ.

Geo 4 to Geo 5

Hi all. Need some info.
Is there an instance that a Geo officer at Geo 3 or Geo4 that hit salary cap and can’t go to next pay grade? As in hit cap. Does it mean that he or she won’t have an increment for the next year?

Unregistered 31-03-2019 11:19 PM

Updated Payroll is out. Can check pac@gov current salary scale.

Unregistered 31-03-2019 11:29 PM

Increment

If an officer is stuck at Geo3, does that mean that at he maximum salary vcap, he or she won’t get any more increment anymore? Or will the salty system push the person to the next grade? Something to look forward to soon. Guru pls help.

Which part of pac@gov? I can’t see it on the app version. Is the amount different?

Yes, once you hit the cap for your job grade. There will not be increment unless you are promoted to the next grade or there is a salary review across ministry..

Hi can I ask if those who got promoted this year, is your new salary scale reflected in the AGD pax gov already? Thank you.

It's all reflected already. If yours is not reflected, it's either you are not promoted or promoted in October. Check with your SL.

I got promoted this year but there was only a merit increment, and no change in salary scale. Think may not have been fully updated yet

April and dec promotion

Hi, how do you know if you are promoted? Did MOE send any email or letter to inform? Or only via school leaders' announcement?

Some school leaders will personally invite you into the office to inform you of the good news.

Some will push out an email to the whole school to congratulate the officers who are promoted. The email should have been sent out by last week.

Unregistered 01-04-2019 11:49 AM

My P requested to meet with me on Friday and that's when he told me the good news that I've been promoted to GEO4.

Finally! I am in my 7th year of teaching at my 2nd school, but 11th year of service (took NPL twice for total of 4 years).

I logged on but only saw the merit increment. Hopefully they will adjust it soon. It cannot be that we are promoted but only receive a merit increment, right?

Where do you all check all these? When I clicked Pay Info in the Pac@Gov App, all I see is my pay advice for the past months.

The desktop version has an additional option to check current pay scale info.

For those that are promoted, just be patient and wait until 9-10th April for the new pay advice to see your new scale. Currently only merit increment. Mine is about 4% - for B grade (GEO4)

Doeends on how fast you are promoted.. If you are reaching the ceiling of geo 4, then promotion into geo 5 would not be much..
