I’m a GEO 2 promoting to Geo 3. At Geo 2, the ceiling is $4500 and I’m currently at $4380. Any idea how much of an increment I will be expecting from Geo 2 to 3? Thanks

The salary cap for GEO4 officer is $7271. So you don't need to be worried about hitting the cap.

I am a GEO4 officer, last year's PB grade was 'B'. My merit increment was $259.

Promoted to GEO5 wef. 1 April. I don't know what's the additional promotion increment - guessing it to be $250, maximum.

I'm at my 7th year of service, just promoted to GEP5. Increment was around 545 (including merit increment).

Last year's merit increment was 260. So it seems like the promotion increment is around twice of the merit increment.

Yes it's possible to remain at GEO 3 for a few years if you have C throughout, take note promotion is mainly based on your CEP as well as your performance grades over the past 3 years.

It depends on your cep and whether school recommended you for promotion alomg with moe internal protocols.

Have had friends who received Bs and C+ but was only promoted in 8th year. Another one had all Cs but promoted in 5th year to Geo 4.

Yes. I don't think you need to get Bs for a few years before getting promotion. I got promoted in my second year from geo 2 to geo 3 when i got 2 Cs.

i raised my ceiling to my P and she just says time isn't right... or too short in subgrade.

Somehow I feel she's not saying everything and withholding some info.

My RO is ********ting when she says she don't know.

How many yours are you in your subgrade? By hitting ceiling, are you hitting the ceiling of geo 3?

If along the years, you got a D or even a C-, this will push back your promotion by at least 3 years..

The fastest I have seen for a geo2 to 4 would be 4 years, even for ladies. Your CEP has a part to play also.. At the closed section of the wr form is the part which is not revealed to JH, your SLs together with your ROs will decide whether or not to recommend you for promotion..

For you to hit your ceiling of geo 3 of $5.6k at the end of your 5th year is not too shabby.

This would mean you had B graders merit increments to bridge the salary. I have friends who only hit geo 4 only at their 8th or even 9th year..

Even as geo 4, their salary is still below $6k.. Only geo 3 is guaranteed provided one doesn't do silly things.. Geo 4 and 5, it depends on your performance already.

For you to confront your P, I think it's a strict no no in civil service. But then I may be wrong.

GEO 2 as BT? GEO 2 BT to GEO 3 is very fast. 1 to 2 yr. Progression to subgrade above this will take more time.
