It depends on what your current public sector job entails and the level of ‘clearance’ you already have, if any. If your job requires no security clearance, it is likely that MINDEF will do its due diligence to ensure you make the security cut.

The HR told me that I would be notified within 2 weeks if shortlisted for interview. It has just past 2 weeks, so guess I will give up Mindef and accept another offer.

A point for your consideration: sometimes MINDEF HR dept might be stretched and they don’t respond within the timeframe they stipulated (been like this for myself and some of my friends). We got the job offers in the end.

Anyone realise that MINDEF DXO applications are done on a separate link (the form to fill in). While all other public service jobs are listed on careers@gov and application done there as well?

I joined as a DXO in Nov last year. Will I get the full mid year bonus of 0.3 months? Or will it be pro-rated? Tks.

Def not full bonus.....only serve less than 1 year.
You will know it in your next payslip. If not, can ask HR.

No such thing as equivalent. They will just give u the dxo post as suitable for ur appointment. Up to u to see if it and the pay suitable.

Are you currently in another public agency, or are you just entering the workforce? What position did you interview for in mindef?
