Have been waiting for about 4 weeks now since the psychometric test last month... Not sure if I should still keep my hopes up.

Of course, this doesn't apply to all DXOs. I'm sure there are some DXO positions out there that are not cushy and the work is tough. But the majority are not. You can't really say otherwise since half the population(a.k.a all men) has been through NS and has worked with lousy DXOs before. What a DXO can do, his PES E clerk can do better.

Hi there. You are probably talking about DXEAs. If a NSF can do the job, thats probably not a high level job where its just routine process work. what im talking about are officers of DX9 and above. by no means an easy job all across the board.

What you have mentioned are very narrow points of view that i wont waste my time defending. "What a DXO can do, his PES E clerk can do better." this shows your level of knowledge of DXOs jobs. That being said, i have NSFs who are of very high quality, but i dont believe they can just 'take over' officers like in your example.

all in all, unless you are a DXO yourself, you wont see the higher echelons of the organisation and understand the quality of our officers.

Hi, may I ask what is the interview process like and duration (including psychometric test) for the Video Journalist position?

Unregistered 04-05-2016 08:32 AM

Usually after site preview, what other steps left and how long after the site preview will they contact you?

Few (working) days after my site preview HR called to inform that I was shortlisted for the position and arranged for medical check up. They also mentioned it will take 4-6 weeks to process management approval and salary package before they will officially offer you a contract. Not sure if it's the same for all departments though.

Oh I see, I have been scheduled for a site preview and not sure if I should serve my notice now.. But since it takes a while more, I guess I can wait till they contact me then if it's positive then I'll tender. Most likely if they call you to say u r shortlisted and arrange for medical check up, you should get the position already right?

HR made it clear that nothing is confirmed until you are officially offered the contract :) read from the earlier posts that they will do security clearance also during this time period so offer only comes when everything is good and clear.
