Unregistered 07-09-2021 08:54 PM

Hi am curious. Why is yellow culture not as desirable?

I’m not 100% sure but I don’t think so?

Cause yellow audit recently had a pay increase across all grades.

I don’t know about the other departments but if they didn’t revise, then makes sense audit now pays slightly higher.

Yes, the increment is firm-wide and the pay for FDD is 100% higher than audit across all grades.

33 - Super achiever, promoted to Senior Manager/Associate Director after 3 years as Manager
36 - Super achiever again, proposed to Director after 3 years as SM/AD
38 - Offered partnership

But this is really much fast tracked/super achiever status, can sell very well or have connections to make sales.

Most will probably be SM/AD or D for 5-6 years, so you are really looking at early to mid 40s for partnership for most people who decide to slog it out.

sometimes, might as well you do pure sales job such as real estate, etc wouldn't you earn similarly as establish partner will make. just that this partner path, is more of a conversion from employee to self-employed .

Don’t you need 3 years to complete SCAQ? By then unless you are staying on, which I believe most people leave at that point, it might be more worth to be in the other firms than blue.

Don't know about other big 4 but yellow audit has many double bookings where one person is concurrently booked on 2 engagements. Triple booking also have. They are also very anal about documentation cause the partner wants to have an easier life.

How is he unhelpful when he gave you the pages to reference? Just... words of advice to you... be more proactive and stop asking for answers

Insinuating somebody is lazy and waiting to be spoonfed is baseless and so disrespectful - not everyone has so much free time on their hands like you forum hoggers who are probably jobless or some sgunited trainees and are here 24/7 to know what has been (or has not been) shared in the thread previously

Resignation

Hihi, just got a job offer from another company so was wondering how do you all resign? Print out the letter and pass to your manager or just email manager and cc HR?

Career Options

Hi Guys, i am senior level 1 in Big 4 and just wondering if i should
1) Move to SEA as FP&A
2) Camp at big 4

Which is better in terms of career progression, wlb and total compensation. I know in big 4 once partner you are winner in terms of pay

Chances of making partner at B4 are very slim if you are looking through the lens of a senior level 1.

Unless you are senior manager 1 then think about it.

of course option 1 is better in terms of work life balance.

if you want to sacrifice your health, life, sanity for money then choose option 2.Don't even think about partner since you are not even a senior manager yet.

Sea not much better in terms of wlb. If you look at the job posting for senior analyst is min 5 years work experience in big 4, which are all big 4 managers. So you more or less surrounded by the same kind of people again

Cant comment for progression and compensation

Depends on your career goals.

You want to climb corporate ladder then stay

You want work life balance then resign.
