Recently i just left a big4 EA for corporate IA. It all sounded good but the office conditions are really bad and the age gap between employees kinda gets to me. Should I cut my losses and continue to apply to a Big4 IA right now instead @ a pay cut.

Does this feeling of 'missing' Big4 community and facilities ever go away? Or am I just in an adjusting phase.

The age gap takes some getting used to. It’s normal everywhere else for your superiors to be like 10 or 20 years older than you.

Only in big4 do you report to a senior who is 1-2 years older than you.

One year one grade.

Primary 2 student is the senior to Primary 1 student…

Has anyone left B4 and returned? How do they treat commercial experience in determining your returning grade.

Eg. Leave at 2 Year 2 Month. 8 Month of commercial experience

Will they view that as 3 Years experience?

I see people returning at same grade even after a couple years away.

Why is everyone in this forum saying going to IB/Consulting is like a walk in the park. Grad from NTU 2 years ago and from what I see only 1/10 get into banks or consulting. The rest that tried and failed just ended up in big 4 like the rest seems like everyone commenting here is top 10% of the cohort.

You are probably just not good enough beyond the grades.

Is yellow going to survive by this end year, what with all the internal disarray from Proj everest?
