When can check new salary?

Unregistered 16-03-2022 03:20 PM

Join a few months prior to mar so my first grading is default c
First appraisal (technically is my first year) and was informed that I got a B

Blessed and hoping that quantum for mx will be higher this year

Unregistered 16-03-2022 04:10 PM

Sounds weird.. As a norm, first year grade by default is C, and you mentioned you have joined CS few months prior to March. Do you join in 2021 or 2022 ? If you join in 2021, your PB will be prorated. If you join this year, sorry to say you are not entitled to PB payout end of this month.

Unregistered 16-03-2022 04:23 PM

prorated PB?

Hi, if I join in 1 Apr 2021, does that means I’m automatically C and will receive a prorated PB of 75%

Unregistered 16-03-2022 04:28 PM

Whats the diff in bonus and MI for MX11, C+ and B grade.

C+ should be 2.5, so B would probably be 3

MI is dependent of where you are in the grade. Below grade mid pt or above grade mid pt.

Normally boss give C grade for new worker, unless you have accomplished major projects during your first year of work, which helps to appraise you of a better grade. PB is prorated based on the number of days you have worked out of total number of working days in a year. ie denominator is not 365. 75% is a close estimate assuming you joined on 1 Apr 2021.

yes its based on xx days worked / 365 days in 2021.

Partially correct. Calculation is xx days worked / no of calendar days in that assessment year.
In 2021, denominator is 366 days if you recheck your 2021 PB statement.

Anyone know how MI is calculated ? What’s the formula ?

Last time before I join CS, my annual increment in private sector was around 7-9%. Situation seems different in CS with lower MI than outside. Salary crawl uphill like snail, beri the tired..

Unregistered 16-03-2022 06:19 PM

Does anyone here knows what is the PB for C+ for MX12?

If what you related is only what you care about, why are you still in CS? Stop painting half the picture

There was a conscious effort in the past to pay civil servants very well so as to reduce the temptation of corruption. So his choice might be made on such a representation back then.

If you intend to resign, submit your letter on or after 1 April is the safest bet to keep your PB.

I’m the poster above this comment
Apologies for the confusion

I joined in 2020 few months before 2021 mar pb
In mar pb I was graded c defaulted and prorated for a few days work in 2020 only

For this year 2022 bonus I was graded B for my work in 2021

Hope this clarifies

Also if anybody knows what is pb for mx12 would be good
