What does having a "lean" CS mean?

It could mean many things e.g.

-paying less while requiring more output from workers
-shrinking the force perhaps by attrition

Either way...reducing the pb, increment, and mid/end yr bonus are ways to achieve this.

We have seen what happened to last year end bonus. Watching the PB to see if the messaging is consistent.

Lean cs also mean removing some of the jiak liao bees that permeate some places

When u tender resignation, the pb is consider forfeited if it has not reached your bank account.

Eg, one day before the pb, you tender and need to serve notice. Tomorrow you will not get a single cent of PB, and you Still must serve notice.

Performance bonus is something you "earned", so by right it shouldn't be delayed, just like your salary. So far Jan and Feb have wuhan but your pay still come on time right?

You better check your intranet or circular for the details. Usually can only tender from the beginning of the following month and need serve finish notice. E.g. if bonus paid in 12 Dec, can only tender from 1 Jan and last day 31 Jan (28/29 Feb if 2 month notice).

Just leave. The bonus is not worth it.
Since bonus is issued in March, u can tender in April.
If serve 2 months notice means u leave in June

Think it follows appraisal year, not calendar year.

Wow... Civil service most likely will be affected since temasek is taking the lead.

I think the quantum has been decided by the management already. Is already late Feb. Usually done by Jan.

Most prob won’t affect PB but will affect increment or Mid year Year End bonuses

I think the budget for PB to be paid out this year is already ringfenced last year. It's just that the actual quantum to be paid out is to be decided.

All quantum cut by 0.5 month to be lined with temasek companies..

Temasek news is for their Financial Year Budget starting in April. Read carefully first. And for senior management.
