lol what a joke. in other gov org E6 is only executive. M1 is assistant mgr. need at least M4 or 5 to be AD. no wonder so many employees over NUS/NTU who are AD dont even have 1 officer report to them.

Title inflation. A situation not peculiar to NTU. For example, fresh graduates start off as assistant manager in many ministries.

What to do. No reputation, average basic and low bonus, only way to attract people is to give big titles and nice name cards.... same strategy as PA which is even worse - 5k can be call director already.

Used to work in one of the big gov company, M4 is 10-14k & M5 14-18k there.

And they are only called AD? In the civil service, those earning such salary would be called DD or Director already.

M1 at NTU typically 7k+
