Nucleas Program

For NCS nucleas program, how many people fail the boot camp? It is hard or if you just follow the step of what you learn can pass easily? Does failing means no more job? After passing boot camp the exam for cert is Project based or like theory based.

Can anyone answer me quite scared. HahaH

Hi guys, just got offer letter from NCS (they offer a bit more than 4.8k) but I'll also be joining DBS SEED Hackathon this Friday. Can I ask for your suggestions regarding the two programs? I want to know more about the technical skillset, the working culture and which exit opportunity will be more wonderful? As a non-CS grad, these two are the best choices for me :(

Thanks a lot!

DBS>NCS obviously

able to share how much did they offer and what honours/uni ur from? what role is this? SE or CE or infra or cyber or??????

if ur non tech, i suggest go SEED because NCS is hardcore engineering. No1 gives a hoot whether u CS or non CS.

If you can't do the job, bye bye

NCS have alot of fake glassdoor reviews. lots of OT and they expect you to OT you won't have a work life balance there .depends on project but most of the time you are trying to put out fire. Middle management is retarded

They will let you repeat once. If still failed then they will let you go.
I am ex Ncs second batch of the pioneer bootcamp. My batch only 2 girl dropped out because of Stress during the project and 1 guy repeat. No one failed during second time. And have not heard anyone failed after repeat.

My own opinion is quite easy if you already know how to program. For newbies you need to able to work till 10pm during last 2 week or 1 week if you have experience.
I am the one 2 guy that go home at 6 daily and others struggle to finish the project

is ncs really that bad.... if i just want to have no worklife balance and avoid the world and just OT is it the best place to join

Is the Master really useless?

Lets be realistic here, is the master really useless? Compare to normal NUS Master. Doesn't that master help make you find job easier?

BTW why did you quit? cause i saw that u say u can handle most of the project there and go home by 6pm. How long did you work before you quit?

of course useless lah, in SE world, only ur skills matter.

Fresh grads can get into bytedance, shopee, facebook, google, FANG without a master

this master is a gimmick that surface ur resume to HR but whether u really have the skillset is totally different

ppl like elon musk already say u can be high school dropout and enter their elite AI team if u pass what they throw at u

singaporeans have this mindset that paper qualification is everything

that applies if u go to public sector since u will be a jlb there

but in private and competitive world, paper qualifications mean nothing. Just like u got FCH but cant answer interview questions, it reflects badly on u and ur uni
