I believe it's also based on last drawn salary, so that they can attract ppl from FAANG. I was also offered 8k++ on grade G

Considering they've been losing mid and seniors a lot, and with the current market, ppl can always go work in private and get that high salary before coming back to negotiate. Life's never fair in the first place..

Which ministry is better in terms of salary and career progression?
I understand that MOM’s position is quite inflated.
