Just as lousy or worse. Telemed takes a lot more time per patient but doesnt pay more per patient in fact less. Good for patients bad for the dr

in ops , the annual package almost equivalent to a non procedure ac who need spend at least 5. u getting it at year 3.5 afte passing the exit.
u become hired gp churn patients no point la. but eventually solo, having more knowledge will show.
u want to make 12k as a hired hand forever or build a patient base that u can gradually charge more as a practice owner?
ops difficult cases we also just refer ma to be honest. a lot of things like urinary incontinence , menopause I can manage but I also refer. eczema, acne patient say want see derm I v happy. put patient request and refer. soc also need quota, but those who dun want soc I can treat it as well..and I dare say even better than soc becuase with the experience with patients I can read them v well and know what's missing.
soc sometimes focus too much on the medicine but forget the human sitting Infront of them.

Why you dont do the math? $8600+$1250+($50,000/3/12)= $11,238.89
About same as $12k lah.

And also this is after 3.5 years of FM residency / MMed FM compared to 5/6 years to reach AC level for internists.

the normal m.med fp annual bonus also a bit more than hospital based ac.
not all hopsital ac same. eg Sgh internal med is 11 base plus 3k allowance. their bonus is 3 months all in , so 11x15 plus 36 is about 200k while Im ac at other cluster not even 12 yet , something like 11.7 so not even 180k per year.
if u higher flyer in ops, the package also a bit fatter.
clinic head or deputy can get to 2 or 3 months more bonus.
if ur ranking high, some compoenet also have higher multiplier,eg your colleague 1.25k, u might get 1.5k.
many threads ago got someone post his annual pay. that one is for a higher flyer la.

Wait so IM con at other clusters don't have the 3k allowance that sgh gives? Wow that's a big pay disparity. Always thought public institution pays around the same (maybe +/- few hundred) for new ACs, never knew got such gap.
