no point fighting over this. |

For Corp as a career, go A&G or Baker?
Corp as a career meaning - may want to jump to international firms, but also if cannot make it, would like to stay and make partner at A&G/Baker |

Does anyone know how much CMS Holborn pays their NQs and juniors? CMS NQ pay in London is £105,000 p.a. Is the Singapore office anywhere close to that scale?

International side higher but trickier to get hired there. Fair warning though that in the UK they are laying off associates |

Can anyone shed light on what responsibilities of an EP at a Big 4 are?
I mean, we all know the general responsibilities - be sufficiently technically proficient in one's practice area + good at book-making. Is it more worthwhile to be an Of Counsel at an Intl Firm and call it a day? |
Hi im a jc 2 student. I would ideally like to stay in a landed house, preferably a semi detached.
May i ask is law a good profession to earn 600k a year? |

There is actually a way to scale business in law. It's called...wait for it...owning a law firm with fee earners working under you. |

Wkw
Hi seniors, any thoughts/insights on life as a junior associate at WKW (hours, salary, utilisation target, culture/difficult bosses etc)? Thanks in advance!

The variance is wider in Law compared to Medicine. In Law, the worse performers (third class degree holders/second class degree holders from Australian/delisted schools) don’t even get a TC. Most of them end up as teachers, or worse grab drivers. In Medicine, even the worse performing students who graduate with a medical degree, land up as GPs eventually. The salary might not be high compared to a surgeon but 200K/year is nothing to scuff at. Not withstanding the solid employment prospects. |

Apart from A&G, what are some of the notable local firms for M&A/transactional work?
|
Quote:
For M&A, WongP is a good choice, but firm second to A&G. R&T is also okay but behind WongP. Drew is meh. SLB is okay too. For the rest... YMMV. |
Hello, can any senior kindly share how the pay system works for lawyers in SG? How are the bonuses calculated? Thank you very much!

Does anyone know how much HSF/Prolegis is offering allowance for the singapore

A&G’s various teams (including its M&A team) handles general corporate matters. This is probably the case for other B4 firms too. Your questions suggest that you’re a young lawyer or a law student… |
