Hi guys, I received a call from SB after an interview a month ago. HR ask if I'm still keen in the position and for a expected salary range. Told the HR, they said they will work it out, possibly with a salary higher than what I'm expecting and provide me with a final package by the end of next week. Also asked if it was a verbal offer and they said it was.

Should I bank in on this offer? Is is still possible for them to rescind their offer since I had to decline another offer for this (which I already did because the other offer's starting date is in a few days and I really want this position offered by SB)

Desperate times call for desperate measures. If I were you, I would start in the other company and wait for the SB. During probation (in the first company), notice period should be 1 week? That gives you time to quit, explain nicely to your manager, and join your ideal job in that SB.

Shortlisted

Hi

I just saw my status changed to "shortlisted" 3 days ago. Anyone knows roughly how long do they take to call or email you for interview?

Thank you..

Cool, you got offered without doing a medical/security clearance?

Mine's still pending those clearances for about 4 weeks already. Same as you, I took the risk and turned down another offer and am banking on the SB to come through.

I'm in similiar situation.
A private mnc offer me already. I'm OK to work with them but govtech role is really something I wanted to explore.

I know the process cannot be shorten.
Need to do security check, package nego, approval.

I actually don't want to take risk resign without job.

I'm thinking to take the offer. Join next month while waiting the clearance and approval. Which I think need at least 1 to 2 months?
Is this doable?

hi, is it good to send a follow up email after making an application? the auto-generated email from submitting the application had the senior hr manager email in it.

It doesn't hurt to do so, and i am sure its a few hundreds of applicants they are looking at, you can grab their attention with an email. Do note that they may or may not reply though. Good luck!!!

Ex HR here. For private companies, can try. For civil service, please don’t spread false news that this will help applications.
