Understand that it’s “good” if compared to SME and the like; of course it cannot compare to MNCs eg there are companies that offer 6 months paid paternity leave etc. From the outside looking in, the main drawing point is the stability that’s all.

I would say its hard to switch to outside. From the recruiter view: Mindef things might not be as relevant to them as compared to other potential joiners who worked in other competitors. From DXO view: they must be prepared for change in mindset, faster work pace, less stability and of course in exchange for more work experience.

Thanks! Will think about it; interviewer did keep saying “skills learnt are transferable” which I noted since most transferred within mindef itself only lol.
