Hmmm okok. There's a possibility that they are still waiting for more applicants to apply, so that they can shortlist more people for interview. I've waited for 2 months before they call me up for an interview.

Mindef psychologist interview

Hi,

I got called up by the hiring manager to go for an interview for the psychologist position. I was told that there would be a written test and an article to read prior to the interview. Has anyone been through this and is able to advice me on the topics and what to prepare?

Thank you! :)

Site preview is for you to check out your future work place. The unit hiring manager will introduce to you about their unit, your job responsibilities and the environment. Do take note that if you are being asked to go down for a unit preview, it does not mean you are offered the job. Mostly, there are few candidates who will be shortlisted for the unit preview.

Hmmm I've no idea as well. But I think they have a rough idea on who they want to hire after the interview. So site preview is for the candidate to check out if the place suits them, like distance, work environment. That's why they usually shortlist a few people for site preview. Should their ideal candidate reject, then they can offer to the next guy in the list.

from what I know, I do not agree on what is the pay for DXO as mentioned by other writers.
DX6 1.8k
DX9 3k
DX10 3.5k

It also depends on where you come from, I knew of a few officers who converted MAJ-DX10 4k
1WO-DX9 3.2k
MWO-DX11- 3.8K

My dear, looks like you are not working as a DXO. Either that or you have lost touch with our pay scheme long ago.

It depends on how deep the impression you have left on the interviewers, and what kind of questions you ask your future boss (i don't mean just your section head. I meant your department head), because the kind of questions determine what kind of worker you are. They'll of course want to choose the best out of the few.

Anyway, i heard that if you are rejected, mindef would tell you straight in the face, instead of hinting that you should find another position if you can't wait. If they can't give you a direct answer, then there's hope. so hang in there. :)

this is the good thing about mindef. unlike other govt/stat boards or private companies that leave your head there hanging like an ostrich even when they have rejected you
