It depends on your gender and type of degree.
Guys will get 2 increments more due to NS.
Honours grads get another increment.

New here, sorry if this has been answered before! Any sample questions/ tips for the writing test? Went through the first interview and will be going down for unit preview and writing test soon, wondering how to prepare for it. Thanks! :)

Unregistered 14-03-2024 12:06 PM

Guys can check with HR/Hiring manager the rough package while undergoing the clearance? Or better to ask after clearance?

Reason for leaving

Hi all ex dxo, would like to check what are the typical reasons to provide for leaving Mindef (military) dxo role to join corporate?

Unregistered 19-03-2024 01:09 PM

hihi

Hello, recently applied for MSD Research Analyst role. It only states that shortlisted applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks. Anyone has experience applying this role before? Can share your experience? Thanks ;)

Unregistered 19-03-2024 04:12 PM

Are all roles under mindef DXO permanent? Or there’s also possibility contract?

Forced to leave due to disciplinary issues.

That's serious. There should have voluntarily reason for leaving dxo role, isnt it?

Either you resign voluntarily or get the sacking.

Most if not all will volunteer to resign.

It is a mix of perm and temp roles.

However, most newbies will be offered temp contract first.

If they like you, then they will offer perm contract.

Ah I see. Do u know if they will confirm convert you to perm after the temp contract? Or again 50-50, there’s always a chance they won’t renew your contract etc? Asking this as deep down I am looking for perm full time job though… and I have another option/offer at hand at the moment.

You are not positive.
Better go elsewhere.

Hi folks, just wondering if someone shortened the recruitment process because you know someone who knows the hiring manager? And that someone helped link up you and the hiring manager.

Unregistered 25-03-2024 11:20 AM

Is it common for HR/Hiring manager to ghost you after submitting G50?

I don’t think necessarily shorted the recruitment process, but perhaps your application will be ‘on top’/‘highly considered’ as compared to others? Don’t think that networking will get you out of the usual recruitment process though, but it will definitely increase your chances of proceeding to next round/hired.

Hello there,

I applied to the HR department and went for an interview + written test in end feb. Anyone has experience of how long the hiring process would be for the HR dpt itself? TIA!

the process is still the same regardless of whether you know the hiring manager or not. all recruitments are centrally controlled by HR, so the hiring will still adhere to the process.

but of course, after going through the candidates and interviews, the hiring manager can still choose you. but dont think anything else is shortened other than the final decision.

A recent case took just over 2 months to get offer
from date of interview.
They will only notify those who they intend
to offer.

Does anyone have any advice for security vetting?

Unregistered 28-03-2024 10:36 AM

Guys, normally how long does it take for HR to contact you regarding final offer after security vetting session? Like does it just take 2 weeks or another 1 month or so pending?

Any results so far? What's the written test about?

HUS to DXO

I've been reading the threads, there's no related information about anyone who has crossed over from uniformed services from MHA to DXO position.

Anyone has similar successful experience or none?
Mostly, related to those studied part time, completed and like to explore other career (higher) options.

Appreciate in adv!

Unregistered 31-03-2024 08:03 PM

Whats the typical bonus month range for a C grade?

Technically, there's no cross over.
You resign from previous job and join dxo. It is just a new job.

Beware of part-time studies, they may not translate to pay increments.

Around 2 months

Unregistered 01-04-2024 02:00 PM

How long do the recruitment team/HR get back to you regarding formal offer and package after attending the security vetting session? Within 1 month?

Anyone can elaborate more? Since we have the qualification, the individual after getting the interview and offer, you mean that the salary would not be as per entry level with years of working experience in the civil service? I thought it should commensurate with the working years at least as compared.

Nope, this week's the 5th week since the interview and written. Written was related to the job position I applied for :)

It depends. Is the qualification relevant?
Same applies to the work experience.

Hi, does anyone know typically how long after the interview they can offer a result? Hiring manager said will inform of outcome, but no reply after I followed up. The thread has different timelines but for recent hires to their main offices (not camps), how long did your process take? Thank u

Interviews are decentralised.
Most will only notify those shortlisted to make job offers.
