Do you know EY ask staff to do elearning on weekends/ while on a job or even during their annual leave?
Why do they even bother promoting us when you dont give us time to our trainings? Whats the point of increasing our salary, only to short change us with lesser staff in the engagment? at the end of the day, EY earns more by hiring 1 less by paying u afew dollars more. Lets not get started with the outsourced overseas auditor they hire from phillipines to replace out talents. Is it because they are cheap? They are so incompetent. Worse still, whatever work they don't complete, we have to complete. I have left EY to start my own company. Thank god for EY that I am able to run my company smoothly. I do so by trying to not be EY. You know what is good practice only after u seen bad practice. |

My advice for anyone wanting to join EY.
Dont be stupid. if there was a 14th level of hell. you have found it. The amount of crap that is left there is remarkable. My experience there have been, 1) Seniors are lazy - they over allocate you their workload while they slack and become a reviewer role instead of helping you out. Mind you, we already have a manager and partner who is the reviewer. At any given time, you will only have 1 staff doing work, and 3 reviewers (senior, manager, partner) reviewing your work. Its no different from asking 1 fireman to put out fires from 3 arsonist. You'd run out of water. 2) A lot of Malaysians - to all Singaporeans out there, if you want to know what it's like to be a 2nd class citizen, come to EY. Malaysians here think that are the best just because they come from Ex Big 4 malaysia and have some experience under their belt. Even if they get their ranks downgraded when they join, they still behave as if they are above u. Their english is so poor, it has left the building. You are welcomed to join us, so that you can validate what I have just said is true. |

What i meant is ey bosses tends to promote “ own team “ members right? Malaysians and ceca have strong team bonds

They always stand up for their own audit team and support the team. Sg bosses didnt support us when we died
