Sorry if it came across as trolling.

accenture manager grade pays better, starting @ $10k upwards...

you can't compare big4 (advisory / consulting) to boutique consulting firms. it's not the same.

Big4 managers get paid as "low" as S$6k-ish all the way to S$8k-ish, or even S$9k, before promoting to a SM follow by AD.

Is the starting pay at the Big4 for fresh graduate fixed, or do we have to negotiate?

It's non negotiable but may vary depending on GPA/honours, online assessment score, partner's discretion and which Big 4(KPMG usually slightly more).

During my time, most my peers started at 2700 while minority of us got 3000-3200.

freshie no need to negotiate la. if you do, you may seemed like a joke to the HR partner / whoever that is accepting your application.

For the 3-lettered firm, 1.3mths this year for me(1st year). Which is what a joke right.

The general economy is so bad that many companies are getting retrenching, pay freeze or no bonus. The only joke is how ignorant and misplaced sense of entitlement some newbies can be, got bonus still complain until like they were cheated.
