How do ppl find the motivation to continue to grind and stay after receiving their pathetic 1 month bonus after slogging their ass till 2/3am during peak period to help partners earn their million dollar audit fee?

Sort of like how I got through NS?

Just ignore the paycheck and keep working. Time flew by without me really experiencing anything.

Downside is I’m getting old…

lol the saddest looking event ever. sad publicity for a sad industry sector. the building interior looks like an industrial park office at ubi. absolutely ghastly. i suppose its to prepare auditors for the kind of environment they will be working in at their industrial park clients' offices.

There are still many other opportunities in both commercial and industrial sectors. Just that you must exercise your initiative to find them.

How would you rate salary equivalence?

Say:

Company A: 6000 offer without AWS (13 month)
Company B: 5500 offer with AWS (13 month)

If company B stands out a bit more, is it better to go with company B since they are kind of equivalent after factoring in the 13th month?

Would company A look better in any way e.g. if changing job and then they look at last drawn?

Thanks

Any news on bonus for any of the firms? EY, PWC, KP, DT?

They are not equivalent at all in pay.

Company A offers you more buying power per month while B doesn't.

Anyone knows when is the best time to leave? Recently got promoted to S1 but is already burnt out from the constant stress all year round. Can’t even make myself break off from work mentally even during AL. Am currently thinking of quitting to go commercial or whatever but not too sure quitting at S1 is a wise choice.

Also, is the CA qualification still necessary and relevant? I don’t have it at the moment and my job is making me so miserable that I don’t even have the motivation to continue with that cert anymore.

Pls advise! TIA!

Never give up because when you give up it will be difficult to get back into it. The certificate is very useful, you should keep going at it.

Can help us out by sharing why you join in the first place?

1) Did no one warn you of how things are going to be? OR
2) You underestimate how “tough” the burn out is, and thought you could handle it.
3) All along you plan was to try try, and leave if cannot take it.

There just seems to be a disconnect between expectations of bosses and employees and I hope if we can identify the source, can feedback.
