Even they take you in, progression would usually be slower.
3 years+ in Audit give you more exposure and you can expect more higher salary when u job hop over to a MNCs compared to internal progression.

Nevertheless, working in Big 4 as a junior is a not easy road, prepared to sacifice your personal life and burn your weekends.

Unilever finance track promotion is slow for fresh grad.
I am previously from Big 4 and left after 3years+
Thereafter, I joined there as a AM doing tax getting $5.2K+ basic pay.

My peer who started at Unilever after graduating was only a senior tax accountant getting $4.3K.

Basically, i am currently earning almost $1K more than her and have a better resume to speak of.
Of course, I sacrificed my earlier years working like a dog in big 4 to advance ahead of her.

My firm has revised its pay in 2022 to retain "talent".
With 2-3 month bonus as a SM, you can hit 150k per annum.

Yo Unilever MAs start at 5.2k, even those in the finance track. The MAs are getting as much as you in their first year LOL.

If you are above avg in Big 4, you can hit 100K p.a at your 5-6 year mark.
Of course, if you are good, why bother stay in Big 4 unless u aiming to be a partner.
You should job hop after a 2-3 years in big 4.

On the flip side, these people who are actually prized enough to be offered this package can get similar in corporate with much better WLB. Those who cmi will probably take 10-12 years to hit SM

I chose Big 4 initially because my grades are below avg (3.1 GPA) with no good internship/CCAs to speak of.
Anyway, i am contented making 5.3K+ with avging 3-4 month bonus with 3 YOE.

I am a mgr with 6 years of exp in Big 4 and earning over 100K p.a ( including 3 month bonus).

I think you could be outdated with the current auditor pay in Big 4 now.

Hmm you do know 3 month bonus for this year is an outlier year right? -> bigger bonus pool for distribution to fewer people cause majority dropped dead.

In my 8 years in big 4, there are only 2 years with more than 2 months bonus for average performers and that includes this year.

In my last 6 years here in Big 4, my last 4 years was at least 15 month package.
I slogged my guts for this. Traded my personal life away. My girlfriend of 4 years left me coz I have too little time for her and wasnt present for her when she need me.
