but yes more than half of the seniors left due to continuous working at the peak utility
is nutttts now that they want all seniors to work no day no night even now is considered off peak in my department
Imagine working for 70hours a week with weekends and still earning lower than market pay
Those who stay, are really nowhere else to go or they trying to promote to M
just my thoughts

Those who stay usually fall under the following categories

1. Unable to obtain any other job offers and come from poor family so need the money and cannot quit. this is sad case.

2. JHK work permit holders enjoying the 1:3 exchange rate and cannot quit because they want the SG PR

3. Ambitious or maybe deluded people who die die want to be manager and partner

My senior used to tell me that you either quit early or stay long enough to see yourself becoming the manager you swore not to be.

There will be training.

But you need to realise you’re not in school anymore - you’re a full fledged working adult and you’re being paid to perform a service.

Don’t count on being spoonfed or handheld on a day to day basis.

Blue also short of manpower... hearsay black also.. somemore this blue only increasing pay to match the industry in july... they told us in townhall meeting. Other firms increased already. Tbh dont be fooled by the 20% increment. A lot of seniors left before they even get the 20%. Think about this, why would they leave when they just have to endure another half a year to get the 20%...
the manpower shortage is real

Spot on. No matter where u work as a fresh grad, remember that now u are a working adult . Your boss gives u a pile of sand and a guide to build sand castle, u are expected to build it even if u dunno how to. Sometimes they don’t even give u a guide u just have to figure it out yourself

Don’t expect your boss to be like your cher , they are not paid to teach u things with a good attitude

Many homegrown managers left and replaced by msian managers. Somehow this is heading towards yellow direction, quite sad

Unregistered 24-01-2022 07:22 AM

Which big 4 now has more local inside?

Big 4 pay is roughly the same for fresh grad, 3-4k without cert. For cyber there is compensation if you have industry CERT and jack up their starting pay to 5k - 6k and more, but the cert I mean is here oscp, Crest and cisa.

Only audit. Their TAS team is strong and has good exit opps - not sure about others

Double, triple booking. Seniors are expected to handle multiple engagements concurrently even during peak period

No need to quit lah. Best way to pwn partners is to do bare minimum, don’t meet the deadlines, piss off and make them lose all the big clients while collecting money. They won’t sack you during peak period because they are already understaffed

Unregistered 24-01-2022 09:46 PM

Can really feel the difference from those jiuhu kia and private uni. Regret joining b4, got scammed by the "prestige"

No offence but
1) using phone 1/3 to 1/2 the time during work and complain that you need to OT...
2) strangers from other departments taichi work to you, dk how to say no or ask them to go thru the proper channels
3) lazy to type theb rest

Unregistered 24-01-2022 09:53 PM

What is an SM jobscope exactly?
isit possible for them to slack under the radar?

my sm seems so free
