Anecdotally (I.e. hearsay only) from 1-2 years ago:
No NS FCH $3.6k MX13
No NS normal degree $3.3k MX13

NS should add a bit more.

No NS, have FCH but offered 3.3 only

for public service, this is rarely so as we have a pegged rate system. It is quite impartial to your prev job salaries

I have been working for the private sector for 5 years .... will now want to jump to civil service .... will it be difficult to gain entry?

-Does civil service prefer people who had worked in civil service before?

Don't even need ceca, working from home has proven to lots of companies that telecommuting is totally feasible.

Companies can now confidently contract tasks to a selection of cheap quality workers anywhere in the world. Much cheaper than having them apply for whatever work visa and paying cpf, rent, medical etc. No need to care about any employment laws or singaporean foreigner ratio.

To any business, workers are nothing but a necessary cost burden. Now this cost can be reduced drastically and profits can be maximised. Makes me wanna start a business right now!!
