hi guys, thinking to join either NUS or NTU and have secured interviews with both. in the event i am offered for either uni, which uni is better to join in terms of benefits? will be joining as Assistant Manager.
i have read all the previous pages of this thread and understand that: 1) NUS do not pay 13th month but NTU does 2) NUS should be paying a higher Performance bonus maybe ~2 months, NTU ~1 month 3) increment should be more and less same for both uni. 4) how about benefits? any flex benefit, number of leave etc? hope past and current staff can offered some insights/advice, thanks. |

1. Yes. NUS is a 12 month package whereas NTU is a 13 month package with AWS paid in Dec. Therefore if I were you and an experienced hire, I would negotiate with NUS based on my annual salary and with NTU based on my monthly salary. 2. It really depends on your performance and you will only be at meeting expectations (ME) grade in your 1st year. 3. On average 2 - 3% increment for ME grade 4. Annual leave will be 21 days for both, flex ben NTU gives about $100 more than NUS |
