Hi, anyone know if direct contract employed by IMDA, the contract did not state any performance bonus or AWS. Although the HR say that I am entitled to both?

According to my friend, tesa has super high turn over rate because the culture and the boss is toxic. The demoralization can be felt within weeks you are there because the boss has anger management issue and has the habit of "name and shame" you infront of internal and external parties. It just makes one feel so super unappreciated after long hours of working. People can't wait to leave for the sake of their mental well-being? In my point of view, i am actually quite shocked when my friend told me about such bosses because i thought such era should have long gone? And working in public service before we have a code of conduct to follow and i seriously doubted the capability of HR getting rid of such bosses.

Many people i spoke to agree that imda in general is working super long hours and is common to work past mid night because directions keep changing and so are the working document (e.g. PowerPoint) that is required to be submitted or presented to the management. It is all about amending papers and ppt to what the bosses would like it to be. The way my friend spoke about it makes me feel like, everyone is required to be a marketeer.

I feel sorry for your friend. The bastard boss is just another salaried worker like his team members, what right does he have to humiliate them?

Most of the dynamic divisions mentioned have interesting stuff to work on, but be prepared for no life outside working 24-7 including weekends. This is due to the division directors not knowing what they want. You’ll be working on presentation files, uncommon u had more than 10 iterations before you realized you actually presenting the very first version. Bootlickers can survive well, management loves people who can talk their way through and smoke their way out.

Non-dynamic divisions like HR and Finance, that’s probably where you want to park yourself if you want to be lazy. Personnel from there rarely response immediately, some times take up to 1 week. They never take any initiatives and push any responsibilities back. Seems very political, good for people who love playing work place political game.

For anyone looking for doing real and good job, this is a depressing place to be.

Agree on the corporate functions, esp HR. Rot from the top, the bosses and BPs are useless, recruitment team is f slow in hiring and has no common sense about what’s the in demand skill sets to hire for. Bunch of puppets yet these incompetent ones still can be promoted!

Agree, shitty BPs who doesn’t help - ours was a junior staff who kept going on medical and mia when we ask qns, ask her boss, also no replies. Recruitment process is also super slow when we are drowning. Their recruitment lead is also cmi, still can be promoted. Worse HR team I’ve seen. All puppets kowtowing to management but not helping staff

The culture in imda is toxic. The ones who rise are those who outsource the dirty work to their team mates and spend their time sucking the boss dick
