advisory harder yes but it is different from corp fin advisory which is harder. the "easier" advisory would be IT, risk, internal audit

Is this true? Because the offer so far is honestly not attractive and the HR over there keep selling me career prospects in the long term, but I am hearing conflicting information everywhere.
which firm?

Bank tech is very different from bank ops, but people like to lump them together as back office jobs. Tech usually pays better than ops.

To the guy who say tech can be easily outsourced, it's not true at all. Developers are very hard to outsource, especially if you built the bank's infrastructure. You really think a bank will let go of someone who BUILT their trading and risk management softwares and understand everything about how they work? These software are extremely important to the banks and trillion dollars are traded using these platforms every day.

Bank ops = accounting and processing documents, or maybe some process optimization if you are in the higher-end of ops

Bank tech = building and maintaining banking platforms and infrastructure

Tech people also have the extra freedom where they can quit banking any time to join the tech industry and still get a good salary.
