Have been working hard for the last 20 years. I realized that once you hit 1M, the rate of wealth growth accelerates. Plan to retire in 4 years time. Stay healthy is still the ultimate aim and will continue life in a simple yet self fulfilling manner. I am not tempted or in pursuit of any unnecessary material needs. These provide only temporary happiness nothing more.

46 years old HDB fully paid, inheritable properties $2m landed house fully paid and one commercial property $350k fully paid.

Still will slog another 10 years.

Just curious, why does the rate of wealth growth accelerate once you hit 1M?

Is it because you're now eligible for other investment options as a accredited investor, or something else?

Looks like its time to find a job you enjoy rather than a slog. Don't die working...

you have cash 3.5mil and nothing in property and stocks? even a 100 y.o granny knows not to stick 3.5mil cash in the bank! Or are they 3.5mil in monopoly notes? OMFG, what a bunch of BS'ers. Now I know how pathetic some of the losers in this forum are.

This one , possible. Working 20 yrs, top lawyer - yes. Also the loans etc make sense. But probly worked ass off, and one of the higher earners here, not the norm.

The problem with this forum is that the "moderators" allow unregistered people to post.

To cut out all the crap from the real thing, all that is needed is to only allow registered users to post. Once users are registered, others can check their post history, frequency, and content to judge whether he is for real or a total fake.

Well I am honest in my post, unlike some self proclaimed millionaires who go to Ferrari showrooms and have high tea all day, I am still slogging.

Even if you are fortunate to have $2 to $3m in fully paid assets, it is no big shakes and one still has to keep working to pay the bills. To be very honest, I am asset rich and cash poor.
