No kids
1 car

Savings 100k
Investments 220k

Top up SA and SRS max yearly.

We spend very little on ourselves, eat food court every day and I take public transport to work. Husband use car for work. I come from a average family and worked very hard to double my income in a short span of a few years. Takes a lot of grit and determination, not a pretty or easy path.

Interesting post,

Doing some basic math,

20k gross, 13k gross = 33k+,

assuming a typical corporate job, maybe generous 5% pay bump every year,

that would put you both around

10k gross, 6k gross = 16k about 5-10 years ago.

yet you only have 100k savings...

1.2m investment condo, 1 room? which area? unless bought prior to year 2017 and in hard east side, there's no condo that's going for 1.2m in the past 5 years, something strange here... hmm.

Your last statement also makes 0 sense,

"spend very little on ourselves" yet you bought a condo close to 2m?

take public transport to work yet you have a car? huh? are you aware that taking grabride everyday, even at peak prices for 5 times a week, it's still 40% cheaper than owning a garbage tier car with a COE price from 5 years ago?

yea I don't know, your post seems very fishy tbh, I don't think you know how to manage your funds well, there's a lot of holes and saving inconsistencies. I would highly recommend investing in an accountant.

Me - 41 yo, $175k pa
Wife - 37 yo, $150k pa

2 kids, 1 conti exec sedan, own property $1.8m with $1m mortgage.

Me, 36 years old - $27k PA
Wife, 37 years old - $79k PA

Owned 4 room HDB at Woodlands - $400k

No car, taking public transport to work daily.
I only possessed a N level, and its pretty hard for me to get a higher salary job.
Think I might just switch job to become a vampire, just leech on my wife, suck her dry since her salary is much higher.
