yes. bonus and RSU are 1-time thing, unless they give you a refresher, which is not guaranteed.

You may have to cut your expenses. Did you spend alot on travelling, food or expensive hobbies There is only so much a person can earn.

800k mortgage??

It's not your job it's how you're managing your funds... how do you have a 800k mortgage with a combined salary of 200k+.

Even with a kid and a car you wouldn't spend that much. Something doesn't add up. You live in a condo and blasting $$$ on maintenance fees? Do you have phone lines amounting to $80 each line or something? Pay $100 a month on internet, spend $1000+ a month on food?

Age: 38
Wife salary: 2k p.m.
Co-savings with wife: $11k
Wife savings:????
Own savings: $25k
Investments: $130k. This is after losing $30k in crypto. Rest in stocks and private investments

Housing loan oustanding: $240k
Personal loan: $0
Credit card debt:$0
Stay in HDB no car no kids.

Ad Hoc Side consultations that I do for extra money time to time.
Wife: 29, Salary $8k p.m, $8.8k Gross (1 month bonus) , Senior Creative Designer @ AdTech.
Sell stuff on Etsy and shopee time to time, make websites for extra cash - $$??

1 Helper, No Car. $275k Mortgage. 1 Kid.
Pay house in Cash. Re-invest OA.
Been maxing out CPF SA top up and SRS contribution for past 2 years.
Emergency Fund ~ $40k

2022:
Me: 28, Salary $15k, Side Gig: $11k p.m(Lowest) - $19k p.m(max) + Tokens/Shares of very speculative value. Lead Engineer / Entry level VP @ Bank
Wife: 31, Salary $8.9k p.m, $10.3k Gross ( 2 month bonus), Creative Director

2 Helper. 1 Car. $250k Mortgage. Owe $64k on Car. 2 Kids.
Bought Investment resort in Vietnam(Paid in full ~$68k, returns rental monthly)
Monthly Expenditure only about $6k-$7k max all in.
Sometimes more, as I'm very generous on gifts for friends, family and events despite not earning much in previous years, but the universe works wonders..

Been maxing out CPF SA top up and SRS for past 4 years. ~ $60k-70k+ each for both me and wife on SRS ($15.3k per year invested each excl investment returns)
Untouched CPF - $200k Balance when I open it today.
?? Wife CPF. ?? Wife Personal Savings
Emergency Fund ~ $50k.
$40k in Gold( Physical, SPDR, Hugo)
Stock Investments ~ $30k
Lost about $40k in Crypto, lost some in stock value when market tanked.
