I am not bragging.. I think my income is low. Any advise for people like me who earns low income?

You are one slow learner, go back to the posts and read again, and don't ask questions that have already been answered, made you look stupid.

Yeah, your income compared to mine is pretty low.

25k/mth only, that's what I charge to my credit card every month.

DSTA Pay

I've work in DSTA for over a year already, here's some facts that may interest you:

For Engineering background:

Starting pay:

2nd Upp (NTU/NUS): $3580
2nd Lower (NTU/NUS): $3280

* Will receive the 13th month bonus in Dec (pro-rated);

* Performance Bonus came in July, and it depends on a few factors:
- Personal KPI
- Overall performance of your division
- This year was around 1.5 to 2 months (already pro-rated) for employees like myself

* There may be annual wage adjustment, depending on economic situation

* Based on my information (checkin with friends in various DSTA department), this year wage increment for employees like me are getting pay rise of between $100 to $200, depending on Performance

Haha and if you are a scholar, i think the figures will be better =D

Thank for the info,
So I assume that you started to work in DSTA since 2009 june or july right?
So the starting pay for ntu/nus fresh grad is still the same $3280 and $3580 for lower and upper respectively. These two numbers are still the same for year 2007 fresh grad pay.

How abt starting pay for fresh grad 1st class, what i heard in year 2007 is $3880, is it still the same?

As for the bonus, u mention that this year 2010 you are getting around 1.5 - 2 months, let me assume that u get 2 months, >>does it mean the 2 months is already a pro-rated amount?

If not pro-rated, mean u getting about 3-4 month?

How about those who are not pro-rated (those who work in dsta for 1 full year from 1st jan till 31 dec of the year), how much bonus are they getting assuming they are average performer?

How much is the annual package? ie Total = how many months of salary getting in 1 year inclusive AWS + peformance bonus etc? Got at least 16 month?

And about the annual wage adjustment? You mean all DSTA employee , for example will get +$200 pay increment(which is on top of annual increment) throughout the board if the economy is good?

And regarding the annual increment, is it TRUE that everyone will get at least a 5% annual increment for average performer?

Let compare
2nd lower = 3280, 5% annual increment = +$164
2nd upper = 3580, 5% annual increment = +$179
1st class = 3880, 5% annual increment = +$194

Base on the info you provided, the annual increment range is between 100 - 200. But as the base salary become larger, ie $4300, 5% is +$215, more than 200 already.

For your info, one of my friend ntu(2007 july)2nd lower, now is getting around 4k now?
I think he got 1 promotion already.

3 years experience..

If you are in Accenture Consulting, you can be earning around $6200/month after 3 yrs - as a 2nd year Consultant -- if you start as a fresh graduate. Many of my peers are earning that.

If you are in Foreign banks, my friends in Deustche, Credit Suisse, JP Morgan, Barclays, are all earning > $5k after 3 years. -- some started >$4k as fresh graduates. -- They are in areas like Technology and Risk.

If you are MNCs like IBM, I have friends earning about $4.5k to $5k after 3 years, in process work.

I have a friend who is earning $6k+ after 3 yrs in GIC doing technology/operations.
