Sounds like locum rates haven't increased much over last 10+ years then.

Meanwhile property has gone up. Everything gone up.

GP in Singapore is not the top earner
It is just how it is
If you want to do better financially the answer is not
See more patients. It will drive you to burnout
Have to learn how to invest in property
At least thats the case in Singapore.

Back in the day, we saw 100+ patients. Every cent we earn is from blood and sweat. Ask yourself if you are working hard enough these days.

It's more important to work smart than to work hard.

I heard from my lawyer before that there was a Dr who bought and sold so many properties like 20 over that IRAS deemed him a trader. He must have huat to the moon.

Get married early and buy a BTO HDB or EC while yr salaries are not that high. Decouple and buy a private condo or landed and keep yr hdb or EC for rental. That will give you passive income for yr retirement.

Can buy resale freehold condo or apartment with pool and gym.

Resale are often cheaper than new condo.

Freehold keeps its value well and can pass to yr kids.

Decouple lor. Wife owns one and hubby another one. One party pays the other to buy overhis or her share. Then no ABSD.

Or can pay ABSD first then claim it back by selling first property within 6 mths of buying another one.
