Anw serious question and probably a niche one: would you guys recommend joining a "Christian" law firm? Those practising litigation would probably know which ones I'm talking about. Small-medium size outfits generally doing liti crim or community-type law where the majority of lawyers are Christians. Any negative experiences, esp. if you're not really actively religious?

My friend who is quite religious is in that firm. They say they don't discriminate, and to be fair they do have non-Christian lawyers in the firm, but the vast majority of them are (obviously) quite "hardcore" religious. It is okay in that they won't ask you to convert or anything, but you have to deal with slightly overzealous "preaching".

R&T, WongP, A&G are all sweatshops. Local mid-sized firms tend to be the same as well. The root of the problem is the way in which their businesses are structured, downward fee pressure, and amount of competition amongst local firms.

Either go to a small firm (even then, you have to be discerning), or go to an international firm (where you'll be better compensated for your time).

From a quality of life perspective, all large firms are roughly the same for junior lawyers. That said, there are better teams and worse teams, and team culture is based on the senior lawyers who set the tone. It is either luck or lots of insider knowledge and due diligence.
