Speaking as an NUS grad who has been in practice for some time.

Nah. Speaking as a real NUS grad and not a troll trying to defend his subpar institution, NUS is definitely not the be-all-and-end-all of the SG legal world, but it produces much better quality grads than those 2nd and 3rd rate UK law schools.

Liverpool? Southampton? Seriously? Good thing all these got delisted. In my view, Birmingham, QMU, Notts should also go, then the list of scheduled unis would be about right-sized. Even the Brits think that these schools are jokes.

Actually not sure why people are complaining about not being able to find jobs when the competition from delisted unis already long gone. The last graduates would be in 2018.
Now already 2021.
If you still have problem getting a job with a much smaller competition pool, could it be that you have to look inward and understand if you’re really lousy?

when will they start opening up the market for more international law firms to come in?

This. Is. So. True.

The people complaining about no jobs are the UK uni kids, not local uni kids. These include jokers of the same calibre as those, who in Walter Woon's words, have failed Part A multiple times including one who tried 5 times.

I think Part A is a brilliant way of filtering out those UK grads who had daddies that gave them money instead of brain cells

If you got ABCD or BBBC or whatever for A levels pls go and drive Grab or something don't throw our face by asking if your 2:2 from delisted can get $6k at Big 4 kthxbye

They should just delist all UK schools (save for Oxbridge). Don’t know why still let these grads go for interviews and take our positions.

If you don’t have brain cells to make it to NUS, you deserve to fail Part A and stop wasting space and wasting our spots on you filthy pos thx.

If you compare entry requirements of the delisted uni versus Australia unis, the requirements for LLB at the delisted unis is 3 A level As.
Many of those who didn’t get that had to take a foundation year.

Cf Australia unis, where even a C average you can still qualify.
