Yup you're 100% right. The other tech programs didn't freeze hiring yet but they significantly made it harder to get in and also purposely put them in horrible depts ( those that OT alot kind) and make them wear many hats.

I feel sorry for the new batches.

Consulting roles very little. End of the day, you need to start somewhere. Competition is not just locally, you also got to remember global competition. If you can get a better offer elsewhere good, else you better start to question what certification, what skills do I possess, why should my potential employer take me?

Nowadays, uni cert is the bare minimum. Some honours and distinction maybe will set you apart by a bit, but having industry certs and experience is better. What others don't have but you have is where you shine, vice versa.
