Heard they are trying to lowball the people they are offering and there will be rejections because the amount is pathethic... I think DBS still haven't learn from their past mistakes when they tried offering 6K to MBA graduates last year

Did anybody receive proposed offer? Can share what range is the number in?

Yup, also heard they are offering very average numbers to those who already have 5+ yrs experience in consulting. It won't help them to retain the talents they acquire in the EMAP.

IMO DBS HR is absolutely clueless... they shortlist many people so that there seems to be high interest in the programme but fail to offer proper packages to the 11 that they choose... It doesn't bode well for people who actually join the EMAP since it is clear that HR does not know how to handle them and their careers might be in a precarious position

"talents" is obviously a subjective word. DBS simply wants you to prove yourself before it gives you the money.

If you were such a big shot in consulting, you could easily find a good job without MBA.

In fact, I think even 6k to 8k is reasonable as most applicants are not from top-tier MBAs. If you are from a local uni MBA, what actually makes you better than an undergrad from those schools?

Not to mention the fact that the economy will continue to deteriorate, DBS doesn't actually need your fancy MBAs at all. During this time, they want techies to improve their systems, not business development people who do not have much business to do anyway.

This is the hard truth; and it is not limited to DBS. Even the big consulting firms have pushed back start dates, some others have rescinded offers.

You all need to get a good grounding in reality. No MBA employer owes you a 100k salary. In fact, this extends to every job, whether you have an MBA or PhD. Also do not forget that this is Asia; people do not give two hoots about an MBA. You prove your worth.

If they only want/need techies to improve their systems like what u said then why start what new EMAP program? Just directly hire CECAs can already what.

And while we’re at that we can also get the techies to do financial modeling and forecast project budgets, create go-to-market strategies for digibank in a new Indian city, and market their new digiPortfolio product here in SG!
