Thought AD at nea is just one level above fresh grad? How come pay so high?

icy water 22-07-2013 10:42 PM

i dont think its so high also as after AD, there is SAD before reaching DD.

paywise definitely a notch lower than ministries. gap increases as you climb up but no point comparing with ministries. one executes, one writes and shoots arrows.

Don't know whether will it be the same qn. But these are the qn I had for the writing test:

1. Why do you want to join NEA?

2. Assume you have committed one of the following offences, please write an appeal letter to NEA.
A. Smoking
B. Littering
C. Stagnant water in flower pots

Falcao 08-10-2014 07:05 PM

Thank god. Mine was alot easier as I only need to rewrite the press release for CGS 2013

How long did your interview go? I was supposed to answer 2 question from the written test during the interview but the interviewers ended the session briefly.

Any information you can provide?
How long is their interview and waiting procesS?

TIA!

Unregistered 20-03-2017 09:28 PM

Anyone has any idea for the salary of a degree holder after working in NEA for 10 years? I heard NEA pay can be on the lower side, compared to other government sector. Is this true?

Is there any work life balance.

seeker 22-04-2017 06:40 PM

Hi, anyone from Hawker Centre division? I saw the job posting on Senior Executive. How's the colleagues and working environment like in this division? Issit stressful and requires frequent OT?

Thanks!

Question on Salary

Hi,

I got an offer for a job at NEA, as a senior research officer. Salary in the range of 4-5k per month. Is this reasonable? It seems a bit low for someone with a PhD in sciences and compared to similar roles in other countries. Is such salary negotiable? And, can you live in Singapore (Family of 5) with such salary?

Thanks,

Lucy

If your experience and educational background is relevant, it's usually around 4.5k to 5k.

Last I heard should be around 6k max.

Unregistered 02-10-2020 03:41 PM

if $6k is for director, i suggest you go ask your friend to join Macdonalds as restaurant manager, maybe with overtime can earn even more. lol

Not worth the stress

Actually it depends, a lot of these titles are inflated. Cannot compare with the same title from MNCs.

The range should be from $5k min to $6.5k max.

Unregistered 04-10-2020 05:15 PM

inflated titles
