Yes. I stayed on because sometimes he is very nice as he tried to be fair to everyone but sometimes when there is a chance, he will throw unexpected intentional discriminating remark at me.

I was given pay rise and bonus recently as he told me he is looking at me working long term in his company. I was so happy..... And then the company lunch incident happened.

I think he seriously has problem with himself.

And the way the company is managed makes me feel uncomfortable and 'out of the way'.

In case anyone wonders, this company is sole proprietorship so the only big boss is this boss.

Next will be cny company lunch, I think I really have to take grab to and fro whatever restaurant he has organised the lunch for us. Lol

It depends on the area of industries u in ba. For instance, those working security line or regular from ex saf/spf abit hard for them to enter other field if no relevant cert n exp.

Me went to study for some degree for mha personal. Work part time study part time for 3 years. Then nv expect this covid pandemic. Tried applying civil servant and gov job all i get is unsuccessful or rejection after few tries. As im not a second upper or honor kinda hard to get in. And my experience and cert couldnt get me else where also. Try career switching to HR executive, recruiters or other jobs. Even applied sgunited/sgup. Go interview all tell me they looking for at least 1 year experience. wa lau eh. Even 2.4k per mth i also want to take also no chance. not even shortlisted. No give chance how to get experience.

I from security field. but too tiring in that field. long 12 hrs shift working 5 to 6 days per week earning peanuts.

got offer for jobs la like management trainee aka insurance or bank wealth advisors. worth to give it a try? anyone can give guidance? heard from my peers bank or insurance job if never hit kpi for 3 months or more, u will be asked to leave with no pay or paying back all the basic u have taken.

This covid really jialet. even for sdeo, sda the amount of applicants applying min 90 to 200. Not even getting a reply from the agencies.

MHA= ministry of home affair. Some of the degree cert is for this industries.

Nope, security very underpaid. 3k is gross salary for senior security officer or security supervisor. 12hr shift 5 to 6 days or sometimes 7days per week. Forever lack of manpower. Hardcore grinding for 260hrs at least a month for that 3k gross. Not worth. Take too much tolls on health. Imagine working for auxiliary police and security. travelling time to work n home roughly per day included 12 hrs shift is 15 hrs per day. For example, his morning shift starts at 7am. sometimes 430am need wake up and prepare liao take the 1st mrt or grab there. end shift at 7pm. after return all eq. around maybe 730pm. reached home 9pm+. the next day shift agian 7am.imagine cont like that for consecutive 5 to 6 days. damn shag man.lol

Tats why i looking for career switch out of security industries. Same like some of the bro bro here. just cont to be positive and keep sending resume.

You can but the positions available to you will have low pay unless you got IT background which may help you abit. Overall , best to have certs to boost that pay base. Thats what most of the companies look at now.

Yes bro. My dad works security. I see him damn tired but lucky he took my advice to find those jobs that are nearby to home. 12hrs shift. 8am-8pm. Good thing is its nearby and have direct to and back. Even then, he reach home, eat dinner and chill abit then go sleep. same routine everyday except day off. I see also i shag.

If you not extrovert or outgoing kind, better dont go down the insurance path. Really need be thick skin to get clients. The manager will talk to you in the interview saying all the good stuffs but they never say about those who performed poorly. I kena few times already. I already know but just want to see how they going to "persuade" me to join.
