i applied to stat board. was offered 8 months later.

since you applied to public sector try approaching your MP for help to check? it's election season so things may move/move faster.

Election season or not, i wouldn't count on an mp to help in job applications. Fact is they don't have any real connections to hr in public or pte sector, unless your mp is josephine teo.

Submitting an mp letter with your application or to expedite checking your outcome can also backfire by painting the wrong image of you as a person.

2 months after interview can assume rejected liao. If they want to proceed with you, they will call you for second interview or offer within 1-2 weeks

Its 2 months after second interview. They asked for a referee and asked me to fill up some medical form.
