anyone can clarify for the average waiting time for security clearance is about 3 months, does it start from when you submit the g50 form or when you go for the session?

relax man, can tell ur new in the workforce as 4 weeks(1 month) notice is normal everywhere. only part timers or gig jobs have shorter notice. and do you know you can also give a 24hr notice albeit forfeiting ur 1 month salary or whatever there is left.

specialised skill job or high level executive positions like higher management or CEO have 2 months and above notice period.

1 month notice is nothing. they have poured out resources to recruit people for months on end what is 1 month of wait to them?

I'd suggest that just treat this like an 'apply and forget' kind of a thing, otherwise you will be jittery and totally miserable for the next couple of months. In case you aren't aware of it, this application may take up to half a year of waiting before you finally get an outcome. Also in the meantime try to focus on alternative career opportunities that comes along.

Based on what previous posters have shared, nothing's firm or guaranteed till you receive the letter and sign on the dotted line. Even after verbal getting verbal offer there is still the waiting for medical or security clearances.

Has anyone received an outcome i.e. offer or rejection from SID yet? thanks in advance!
