This is for audit. Other BU is different: Consulting for example has no AM rank but the M1 is only 6400.

Consulting is much harder to get in though, so not fair comparison.

When I first join I told myself I didn’t care about the package cause I’m only gonna be there for 3 years MAX so as long as I break even it’s fine.

But I didn’t take into account:
1) inflation…
2) time spent looking for a new job..
3) employer referencing last drawn pay

Terminology was changed back in 2017. But many people using the old terms la.

1 rater - Exceptional Performer
2 rater - High Performer
3 rater - Average Performer / Performer
4 rater - Under Performer
5 rater - Non Performer aka Shiny Legendary Pokemon. 10 years you see 1 time.

NTU also changed First Class Honors to Highest Distinction back in 2018. Six years already but ppl still using old terms.

The hike is mainly for associates . The bonus all goes to the base pay for associates. it's a false impression of an increase. 0 bonus for year 1

The Senior pay is quite similar to last year . Very little increase, 100-200. I wonder why commercial can’t match or bump pay now. Is it oversaturated?

Oh my firm count the other way. 5 is the best 1 is the worst.

Unregistered 11-09-2024 11:31 PM

can expect a lower turnover rate at the Big 4 now if commercial can’t match or bump the pay. Probably a lot of people would want to downgrade to an associate role for $400 less and less stress.

Audit is better for middle or low level performers

The skillsets are more survival based. You can literally do audit anywhere by using only microsoft excel software and doing documentation

If stay at audit for long term i dont think its a bad issue for those who dont have plans to make it big in business sector

EDMWer 12-09-2024 06:43 AM

Accountants in commercial (Peter Lim/Tony Fernandes) > Dr Gerard Ee (auditor)

Look at Kim Lim...$$ literally cannot use finish and partying whole day & night

Dr Gerard Ee’s son nao working as high end property agent

lol when A1 pay increased from 2.6k to 3.6k, M1 pay remained at 6k for so long that people went from secondary school to poly to ns to Uni to starting work and it still didn’t change much.

Thought this is an open secret…

Only past 2 years then M1 got revised.

I think the post 2000 kids are calling this skibidi Ohio.

No it doesn’t seem like any Senior Associate has raised their hand asking for a demotion for less pay and less stress. People still want to grow and progress la.

But you are correct there is some feedback that the pay differential between A2 and S1 does not justify the workload differential.

Maybe come back next year and see if the firms are doing anything about it.
