Can never understand why some client can be so lau lan, especially those low rank account admin aunties. Always like to act one big shot. And if you send a xmm auditor to her, it’s like sending a sheep to a wolf den. Lmao if I quit audit and apply to her company, I’ll probably also be her manager.

Can honestly tell you one. Currently in a big engagement with all of them jhk and I’m the only sinkie. Their daily topics revolve around sinkies’ see them no up attitude, weekend go back their kampong, and back to sinkie no good. You can imagine the torture sitting in a room listening to their weird accent.

Internal Audit or External Audit
Hey guys. Newbie here needing serious advice as am a fresh grad don't know what I want.
I have Deloitte Internal Audit and External Audit to choose from. My classmates who went into external audit say that external auditor can easily become internal auditor in the future so I'm better off going for external. I didn't see much discussion here about internal audit (risk advisory) so please kindly share your experiences. How's the working life? Does internal audit really ot lesser? Don't mind sending you a grab voucher as a thanks for sharing. Really appreciate your help |
I interned at blue internal audit before, its classified as advisory. The full timers’ hours were pretty bad

If you enjoy dealing with policies, internal controls/ processes, or doing flowcharts then go for internal audit. OT wise, yes its better than financial audit in my opinion. so far i do enjoy my work and if i need to OT, usually its just 1-2 hours more before i call it a day. I feel its way better than financial audit where the earlies u can go off is like what? 10? 11? - someone that interned in GA and decided to join risk role in one of the big 4 as full-time. |
Seeing so many big4 employees stuck in big4 is truly saddening. Pity the most of you have to work so late hours for peanuts and tbh really sucks to be you. Worse, working long hours is linked to higher stress, burnout, depression and health problems.
Luckily, I am here to help all of you here. I used to be a big 4 auditor 10 years ago and I absolutely hated it because of the long hours and meagre salary. Fortunately, I was lucky to meet my mentor in the financial services industry. Today, I am a financial services associate director in one of the MNC and I am thankful of my mentor for shaping who I am today. My expertise lies on helping young professionals to recommend investment linked products to maximize portfolio returns (I also understand that auditors are bound by certain restrictions which disallows them to invest certain stocks in the stock market). Most of the investment linked products I recommended to my clients they are able to reap a decently well percentage returns. These are the small things that I have helped my clients which made them appreciative of who I am and I felt grateful for being able to value-add to their lives (unlike audit, where you are not doing anything to value add to your clients but just finding deficiencies in your client's operating controls - thus making auditors look like pests in the eyes of their client) Alternatively, you could also join one of my team of high achieving financial advisors and we are currently expanding very fast. I have helped several of my juniors achieve MDRT (some even COT) status within 1-2 years of their career. Some of them have made at least 2x more than how much they would have earned if they stayed on as an auditor. This is a lifetime opportunity for you guys out here and the choice is clear, do not hesitate to join my team and you will have no regrets :) |

My friends hear me out. I pity you big 4 slaves getting peanuts for long hours but i come to you with a solution. Unlike insurance agents or financial advisors 😂… I am a life coach. Come with me and I will personally teach you how to help you grow your money to get the most out of life. In fact, i have groomed other life coaches under me. They are doing so well that they have gotten MDRT consecutively.
PM if you are interested in becoming a fellow life coach and add value to the lives of your clients. Insurance agent and financial advisors can screw off |

Tech Solutions Delivery - EY
Hello, is anyone here familiar with tech solutions delivery (TSD) at EY?
What are the career prospects like, and how much coding is involved In day-to-day work? Also, when EY splits, will this department likely be joining NewCo or AssureCo? Thanks! |

Honestly I couldn't care less about those financial advisors who sacrifice their personal relationships for financial gains
