Year end bonus for civil service
 

Think 13th + 1 mth

I think will be 0.5 months (excluding AWS), given how the covid situation is still bad. GDP growth is good this year, but it comes from the low base of last year.

Civil servant here.

Any additional bonus or payout for frontline workers in this 2nd year of pandemic?

No but they will get some claps

I do hold out some hope that it will be more than 0.5. Since the messaging is for private companies to restore the wage cut they made for the last 2 years, Gov may take the lead and give a healthy bonus. 6-7% GDP is too high a growth rate to give just 0.5mth.

Seems like bonus will remain poor for years to come. Govt lack the foresight and will to reopen the economy and lift restrictions. Stuck in perpetual lobo for 18 months and things have gotten worse as time goes on.

Our bonus is linked to GDP. It has nothing to do with politics.

Lack foresight? We have strategically placed our energy and resources in many key areas. Big picture-wise, Singapore is positioned to make a lot of money as the world comes out of Covid. It is clear you are not a civil servant. Don't be distracted by small irrelevant details like dining numbers. Big picture economic chess moves, Singapore has done well.

I'm a civil servant and in terms of big picture economic chess moves, SG has done poorly. Don't be misled by the "neither here nor there" approach, neither here nor there only leads nowhere.

If you are in a position to make changes why didnt you?

Isn't it obvious that in the big picture economic chess, he is just a small fry so he cannot make any changes. So can only use his fingers and mouth to critique.

I'm neither the PS nor Min, this is beyond my paygrade. But it's fine as long as my salary is in on the 12th.

Heard DSTA had special increment or bonus almost every year. You may want to consider joining DSTA

My ministry also got recent pay adjustment last month, plus $150. Heard some other govt agencies also have.

My friend in Dsta said they got $250 in Apr this year. Then few months later, their annual increment/promotion. Tiagong they going to have another special pay adjustment again in Nov/Dec. Envy~

Heard the same for a few other statboards of pay rise across. LTA/NEA etc for their front line work during covid
