Appreciation is for the health care workers. They are getting $4000.
Lump sum is usually for the cleaners, etc. They usually get a bit more with a one-off lump sum. Last year, 2,400 lower-wage civil servants received a one-time lump sum payment of S$1,200 as their end year bonus.
