Mbb I would think would be closer to mid 4s about 3-4 years ago when I graduated.

What are you basing this on? Not the original op but I have worked in consulting and his numbers are fairly accurate

Mck was offering 5.6k and bain 7k not long ago, while Oliver wyman was offering 7.5k

ROFL mid 4s??? Hello pls dont talk crap on this forum.

Mckinsey: 5.6k
BCG: near 6k
Bain: 5.8k

The big bucks only come when you hit associate level. As usual, different pay at associate level depending on your MBA or lackof.

You are right ... they discounted my experience in my initial job so put me as a "project analyst" aka probation for 6 months.

Bumped me up to 6+K after that 6 months to be on par with undergrads... 7.2 was my salary at the level in between undergrad / post-MBA ... i.e. SAC / SA / SBA or JA in bain / bcg / mck terms.

OP: Chill dude. your numbers are correct. However, my coy pays the same at associate level whether or not you have MBA, at least in APAC region. In the US I heard it's differentiated.
