I think only reasonable to compare with ownself industry , maybe with your batch mate work same position diff company how much they earn etc

Some ppl really need to beware of karma. Ppl come here share their salary because they want to seek advice and check if they got Low balled. Not for your source of entertainment and mocking others by saying they are tra*h or cmi . If you think making fun of ppl making less than u is a way of self-justification you are very pathetic

Unregistered 15-02-2022 09:10 AM

Yr 1 - 4100
Yr 3 - 5900
Yr 5 - 7700

In fcc compliance. Progress feels slow compared to others here. :(

I agree

For my experience. I still feel bitter but for other the overall package is only that that I having as an additions and the bonus for other than market rate as an additional $50 increment by the pay scale posted about 2.5 months, nobody know when you gets promoted?! LOL.

I got to climb to the pay increment wise is never offered any pay increment and that I have a Master. I'm drawing as HR claimed the HR when the fact the overall package is higher grades at least 5 to climb to the pay increment.

Are you mocking him? 3.6k at 33 is pretty bad. Even for a 28yo it is considered below average at best.

Agreed.

Fresh grads at 25 now make 10k a day doing Tiktaks.

Nice and steady growth. Could be faster but your second company stymied you a bit with crap increments.

Thanks! I can't compare to the other high flyers but I think i might be closer to average.

My 2nd company really gave me bad increments due to crap reasons "didnt have budget" , "firm is doing badly" etc.

Left and quickly managed to get more relatively quickly

curious to ask

In company what is the usual increment in salary if there’s not promotion of title?

3%? 5%? 10%?

If increase by 100-200 dollar only is quite lowball tbh

2020 - 4900 (3 months bonus)
2021 - 5250 (Jan to Jun) / 5900 (Jul to Dec) (5 months bonus)
2022 - 69xx (3.5 months bonus)

Promotion quite quick in the last half year or so because my company was trying to align with market, and talent is generally in short supply in my sector. I've had more than four recruiters contact me from the start of this year, which I guess is an encouraging sign.

One of my colleagues left for a new role with at least a 30 - 40% increment, but given I'm quite happy with the work/autonomy/balance in my job I'm not sure I want to leave, especially with my current career trajectory.

Assuming we are talking about salaries for people with less than 5 YoE, 7-8% would probably be the absolute minimum for me to not go looking every other year.

5% is very meh especially for those drawing 3-5k a month. Anything less than that is as a good as nothing, and a clear sign that you should be looking to leave the coy asap.

i thought 100-200 pay raise is a norm in engineering field?

No idea what engineering increment is but 100 or even 200 every month for say 5 years is going to leave you significantly behind market...

In tech, 2-5 YOE is considered mid level in general in a lot of companies.

According to a report by https://nodeflair.com/salaries, it seems like the salary are the following at the different percentile:
- 10th: 4250
- 30th: 5500
- 50th: 6500 (aka median)
- 70th: 7500
- 90th: 9500

Unregistered 16-02-2022 12:54 PM

I am 34 and earn 6500. Not a single friend or relative my age that I know earns less than me, which means this is the lowest income bracket. Yet there is no help for people like me...life is getting really difficult. Would consider migrating but which first world country will take an old person with low income and skills?

bro u gotta help urself

so much free knowledge online, go read up on investments, side gigs, etc. see what u can do and make extra $$$.

but also know that in the end, $$$$ is just to buy things u want or need. eventually if you're a insecure cry baby, no amount of $$$ can ever make u feel whole. if ure ugly af, single, beta, even if u make 15k a month no one cares lol people making avg 4-5k monthly will sure say "haha but u ugly af LOL" then how ?

make so much money, work so hard, in the end people will always look for things that are shown on the outside first. ur face, ur height, u fat or not, how u speak, etc.

I only want a ton of $$$ to buy my resale HDB and renovate it to my liking. beyond that i dont care and will downgrade to ez WLB life with lower pay and invest instead.

find ur purpose and goal in life bro. its just like this forum, i come on here just to get info / intel only and maybe share my opinions like right now. beyond this i dont care and dont bother wasting my time.

This poor loser is struggling to string words into a coherent sentence. Why would anyone so shamelessly expose himself as a shallow, superficial person whos only goal in life is to buy a HDB apartment. Sad to see.

What a loser who can't even string words into a coherent sentence. Your biggest ambition in life is to buy a HDB apartment? That's so pathetic.

Your value system is based on outward appearance? And you'll crumble if someone calls you ugly? Dude you're pathetic, it seems like your psychological development has been severely impaired and you're pretty much a little kid on the inside.

Rofl side gigs, what a stupid advice. The rest of your comment just shows what a shallow, low ambition loser you are. Stop giving others advice when you're definitely some ITE dropout pulling 2k.

hmm I don't think this is accurate.

I just checked GES Survey for year 2021, SMU, NTU, NUS, SIT and SUTD. Judging by the submitted response count and their median salaries, it seems like the highest is NUS at 6k top percentile while the rest are hovering around 4-5k.

In other words, 20-30% of fresh grads MIGHT be earning 6k. The rest are definitely earning below 5.5k, according to official MOE GES Survey 2021.

Please do not spread false information.

Don't know wtf you're talking about, don't really care.

There's no official data that hints at 90% of fresh grads earning 6 to 6.5k. That's just a flat out lie. My point still stands.

Feel free to counter argue with some real data.

agree to this. if u say NUS computer science cohort 6 to 6.5 k average.. maybe... since now tech firm really bump up fresh grad pay to compete for top talent from local uni

but if u say across all disciplines, average 6 to 6.5 k? lollll pls use brain lah

all the humanities students + civil service + big 4/mid tier audit firms (starting pay below 3.5k)

want to be haolian try harder pls. Should the investment banking ppl come mock and say the average pay be 10k? lol
