University graduate working part-time? Help!

I completed my undergraudate studies in BA Psychology at SIM Global education and am waiting for the official graduation now. I haven't been able to look for a full-time job for months and now there is one govt job which is willing to hire me on a part-time basis (about 30 hours per week) and the pay they offered me is $1000 (excluding CPF contribution). Let's say I want to work part-time for the time being, is this salary very low for me?

PLEASE ADVICE! :(

Are the hours flexible? Sounds bad to me.

It's not really VERY flexible! They siad they'll come up with a timetable,it's almost like turning up for a normal full-time job but just work lesser hours. Should I take up this job? please help!

are u expected to work 6 hrs everyday or you can pack 30 hrs in 3 or 4 days? well actually either way it is still very bad, with the latter being relatively better.

to get a temp/contact job, u work 2 hrs more per day and u definitely get at least $1.6k? I am basing that on diploma level so u might get even more.

take it up.

You can always look for something on a more perm basis while working. Remember, you $ to survive.

You know, very sadly, they said that even if I "upgrade" to a full-time (still under contract), my salary will still only be SLIGHTLY more than $1000! The reason they said is because I haven't gotten my uni cert officially yet so i am still counted as having a'level qualifications only. Why can my sim seniors get at least $2000 (some even get $3000) and I am still seen as an a'level student when I am obviously only waiting for my cert now? Do you have any advice? are they really offering a very low pay? Underpaying :(

Precisely, I am a singaporean!! Is it because I am from a private university instead of the top local unis? :(

But do you think that the proposed pay is really too low for people like me? Won't that be underpaying? :(
