To any current SEEDERs, how is your career trajectory? i.e. increments, bonuses, progression, possibility of getting into HIPO program? Anyone moved to foreign banks?

Unregistered 20-02-2024 02:08 PM

how many people were accepted for july 2024 batch?

there's no more jan batch so it might be different but basically

if u are july batch, lets say u are july 2022, mar 2023 u will get pay increment, prorated and bonus prorated, 8k fixed. ( in a year its 16k fixed, OT AT doesn't matter )

then in july 2023 u get to rotate to diff function in same home LOBT

march 2024 another pay increment, not prorated, 6-7%ish, 16k bonus fixed

july 2024 convert to associate, another pay increment, to match associate payband, most likely 6.6k+

so pay progression is like this

join dbs july 2023 - 5.5k base
mar 2024 - 5.7k+ ( prorated inc )
mar 2025 - 6k+ ( not prorated )
july 2025 - 6.5-6.6k associate bump ( only if u get OT, if u get BT, no conversion )

HIPO is only open to AT people who are associate and above, its written in the HIPO portal.

lots of people hop to JP morgan as 601 ( Associate rank ) after they finish seed and get associate rank

their base pay is roughly 8-9k for tech, i think

some hop to citibank, i dunno whats the exact pay, should be same as jp

When I spoke to some seniors they mentioned that bonus is 2-4 months and it differs by department but you mention that it is fixed at 16k for a year? Was it changed recently by any chance? Also what do you mean by associate bump ah? When we enter the program we are associate so when we grad from the program we are senior associate is it? How hard is it to get AT? Are there a lot of people getting BT and if so why they get BT? Does it depend on boss/project or just the person cmi LOL

1: its fixed 16k, i dunno about this 2-4 months thing, this is for perm, not seeders. seeders is fixed confirm, at least since 2021 batch.

so associate bump meaning when u join seed, u are a "Graduate Associate", only after 2 years then you will be converted to "Associate" ONLY if you have "OT - on target" rating for that year.

AT is quite hard to get, I mention in the other post, u need 3 leads to agree that u are "AT" material, then they will present to the MD and he/she will finalize. this happens around oct-dec of the year so if u want this, u need to perform and get the 3 recognition before october of the year.

its like this cause theres no headcount to promote everyone, so they hvae to be picky with who gets AT and AT is a base requirement for promotion, the other part is "long tenure" meaning if u associate for 3 years, u will confirm get promoted at one point, they typically dont let people stay at associate forever, u will hit ur pay band limit also...

no lah no many people get BT, BT quite hard to get, i legit dunno how some can get BT. for every seeder batch, i'd say at least 95% get OT, 2% get AT, 3% get BT

BT is the same process as AT, all 3 leads must agree u really cmi. manager cannot just anyhow give you AT or BT. BT comes with consequences, BT means u dont convert to associate means u dont get pay bump after 2 years.

Unregistered 20-02-2024 06:18 PM

so in other words, its really impossible to get BT unless ur manager fking hates u so much he wanna make 2 other leads agree with him that u are "cmi" lol

From yr own observation, what is the percentage of seeders leaving after 2-3 years?

Says the clown that doesn’t know that you’re still allowed to rescind your offer acceptance at any point before your first day of work thereby having the offer given to one of the shortlisted ppl instead

They will ask you to go for a pre-medical checkup a month or two before. Costs are covered by dbs
