Agree that it isn’t 4.5k.

But seriously, goodguydan is just a fresh grad (just graduated btw) publishing hearsay salary on his blog. Accurate? Not entirely. Updated? Nope some figures are dated.

They look quite accurate to me. The banking, conuslting and FMCG figures collaborate to me and I have friends working in those listed firms. Don't feel that there's any detractions from what he has listed. Any specific firms that you could pick out from his list as being inaccurate?

When to his blog out of curiosity, for one of the companies in Finance, he understated the salary by a full $1k/month, even when I joined the company in 2018 (the article was written in late-18/19?)

Quite accurate, yes. Accurate? Not really. Banking figures are not updated at all (even though he mostly posted tech/Corp/TB roles). Consulting figures are off too (e.g. ACN). Same for fintech/payments.

Btw I think you meant corroborate rather than collaborate. Again, this guy seriously JUST graduated from SMU. He did this with another friend of his (graduated 1/2 years back). Take it with a pinch of salt.

I've just been offered a position and I can confirm that salary is 3.5/month lol

Unregistered 26-07-2021 02:32 PM

Those who joined 2 years ago wouldn’t have reached 4.5k too.

Unregistered 10-02-2022 12:51 AM

4 years ago? And they haven't adjusted their starting package much over the years I see.

Why would you get that chance?

I got similar test as well, it seems like they are targeting a group of people for filtering purpose. Whattt accept candidates with up to 2 years exp but offering 3.5k? Hmmmmm

Unregistered 26-02-2022 01:19 AM

Thats why recruitment is delayed. Wait for desperate students who are near graduation to accept the 3.5k.

Maybe you could share the package offered (e.g., Total compensation, benefits) to help give a better picture?

Unregistered 10-03-2022 07:07 PM

base salary is 3.5k which i find it to be quite low for a graduate programme haha. As for the benefits, it’s similar to all companies in terms of annual leave, insurance coverage, etc

Do you have better offers tho? If not, consider going with it

Can I ask if there is a probation period and if 3.5k is the base salary for the probation period or after?

No need to consider Marsh if you are looking for high salary. You will end up being disappointed and having to quit before the program is over.

Is Marsh a good company to work in? in terms of work life balance, pay, progression etc. Thanks.

Anyone can advise what companies or industries can one go for after leaving Marsh since its in the insurance / risk broker industry.

Unregistered 16-03-2022 08:16 AM

Marsh very thoughtful, keep your pay low so you can still buy bto. Which company helps you get cheap and affordable housing?

Unregistered 16-03-2022 08:26 AM

Marsh good good. Very easy to find better jobs after you finish your 3 years bond. Cos everywhere else also better.

Unregistered 25-04-2022 08:58 PM

Anybody got offered for this year intake?

Unregistered 26-04-2022 01:39 PM

Honestly depends. The top of the tech industry makes double that. But guess you could say the same about high finance. Ofc the average fresh grad still makes more than 3500 but YMMV.
