It's not super good but it's far from bad. 60k basic annual comp excluding bonuses already puts you well above the median salary range in Singapore.

Regarding the working arrangement, don't expect a be all and end all answer for this kind of question. Nothing hard and fast. It's all about communication and understanding. You communicate to your higher ups if you have certain needs and requirements (e.g., WFH for certain days). Obviously, if you take on more projects/ gain more work experiences = Higher chance of promotion and earning more.

lol wat?

data analyst 60k is not good for a fresh grad with 0 competing offer?

lol no offence but what do fresh grads have anyway? do some massive data graphing with large corporations before complaining about base pay.

Supply and demand got a greater impact to your starting salary than FCH or 2nd class.

Shopee's rep means that they got greater supply than demand of fresh grads. 5k basic is higher than median SG salary ofc but its honestly mediocre for tech. GLC with less sexy of a reputation but with an ambition to build up a serious data analyst team will need to shell out more to attract talents (better wlb too).

5k is ok for tech, it's not mediocre. Look at the total compensation, not just the base pay.

I get way less, like 4.5k ( entry level, first job after grad ) but with 20k SGD yearly vested stocks and choice to WFH regardless of the COVID situation in Singapore.

I could have went with my other offer 5.5k, but no RSU and need to go office everyday. I would have wasted traveling time ( 1-2 hours a day ), on top of that I need to OT like a bitch just because most companies have a stupid culture where if you leave early = you're not hardworking... Shopee has this culture btw.

idk how much difference you place between 'okay' and 'mediocre'.

Agree fully with considering pay on a per actual work hour basis. Though I don't consider commute to be part of 'work' per se because I use that time to read or catch up on Netflix. Having a immediate superior you can gel with is more important imo

i mean if u have 0 competing offers then u cant rly be a chooser anyway so good for u i guess.

but just so u know, here is the GES data for 2021 s://.asiaone.com/money/10-highest-starting-salary-degrees-singapore-2022, take it with a pinch of salt if u want but since u want "data graphing", dk what that means but ok, the top 2 of 10 courses are computing related surpassing law and medicine. inb4 someone says GES data is not accurate, in which case, pls show me more accurate data then.

anyway look, 60K basic for TECH (and not just any fresh grads from dk where) i wouldnt call it "good" but fair enough and maybe borderline mediocre. as what other ppl have pointed out, GLCs not even MNCs are paying 5.5k basic for tech and thats considered average lmao
